Our guests love our coffee. “The coffee also impresses us, and that’s saying something. We are really demanding :-)”, writes journalist Clara in her review of the vegetarian restaurant The Heart of Joy. Creating such a delicious coffee at home is not easy. Why? Here is the open secret about the ingredients of our delicious coffee creations.

The ingredients for our top-quality coffee

Ingredient number 1: Our coffee comes from prem frischkaffee and is organically grown. We use the coffee blend blue: – a real Italian. It tastes round, full and strong. Thanks to the proportion of Robusta coffee beans, the blend has enough strength to stand out even with milk. The small farmers’ cooperatives in Brazil, Ecuador and Honduras, where the organically grown coffee comes from, receive a minimum price of USD 2.80 per pound of green coffee – more than the fair trade label (Fairtrade USD 1.40 per pound). The producers are visited annually by our coffee trader prem frischkaffee itself or its colleagues from Europe.

Coffee beans that counteract rural exodus

Our committed coffee suppliers also source coffee from the youth committee of the Apecap cooperative in Ecuador. There, the next generation of currently 140 young people are given a piece of land and cultivate it independently. The young people are highly motivated and eager to learn. Many of the young people are already getting even more flavor out of the coffee beans than their parents. This counteracts rural exodus and thus poverty. Ingredient number 2: We brew our coffee with a coffee machine from the renowned Italian manufacturer La Cimbali in order to tease out the full aroma from the beans. A valuable piece whose workmanship you can taste. La Cimbali has been producing professional coffee machines in Milan for over 100 years.

Ingredient number 3: We grind our beans with the best coffee grinder on the market so that they reveal their best.

Ingredient number 4: Water also has flavor. We ensure good taste and good energy in the water for our coffee creations – with filtered, harmonized & energized water according to the UMH and Swiss Ojas methods.

Perhaps you are adventurous and want to explore a new uplifting taste. You can enjoy our delicious coffee with organic milk or vegan milk alternatives – milk made from oats, rice, soybeans … . Our guests particularly love oat milk in their coffee.
